We are in Hong Kong! We were glad to not have to wake up early to catch a tour bus today! We took our time getting ready. While in Guangzhou, Joseph booked us a Hop On / Hop Off tour on a double decker bus so we could take our time and enjoy the city. After a few hiccups we were on our way on the tour bus! It was unfortunately a pretty cloudy day so the pictures aren't so good. Maddie enjoyed being in the open air bus!
About 1/2 way through the bus tour we got off at Victoria Peak and stood in line for the tram which took us to the very top of the peak. We then got some lunch and walked around. We were able to go to the very top of the open air deck (courtesy of our tour package) and took some really nice photos. The line to go down the tram was atrocious!! So all of us (except Joseph) caught a taxi from the top of the peak back down to the AirBNB where we put Maddie down for a nap. We had dinner planned that evening with family so wanted her in good spirits. Joseph stood in line for the tram then ended up walking back to the Airbnb.
That evening we met up with my Aunt Jeny who we haven't seen in a few years! We walked over to the restaurant where we had dinner with 3 of my cousins who live overseas that I haven't seen in a long time too! My cousins Rachel and Vanessa live in HK while my cousin Nathan lives in Paris. The food was delicious! We had a lovely time catching up. Aunt Jeny even taught Maddie some good manners! Instead of yelling and whining when she didn't want to eat something, she learned to say "No Thank You" and once she said that nicely, she didn't press her to try again and instead moved onto the next item. We were seriously impressed with how good Maddie was at dinner!
