Playing with Beads

After nap time Saturday, Maddie came into our room and wanted to play. I pulled out a package of pony beads I bought at the dollar store along with a couple of containers and Maddie had so much fun! She did great at keeping the beads in her lap and in the containers.

Saturday Grocery Shopping

I took Maddie to the grocery store Saturday morning. She was great up until the end when she decided to sit backwards in the cart! She looked so adorable I had to take photos before asking her to sit down correctly.

Hugs at School!

I picked Maddie up from daycare today and as I was putting on her coat, a group of kids from the older room came in so they could consolidate the kids into 1 room for pick up time.

A boy named Niko who is about 4 or 5 years old (who also has a sweet spot for Maddie) came over to us as I was putting on her coat, and asked if he could give Maddie a hug. I said yes and he gave her a hug.

Then another older boy came over and gave her a hug.

Then another older boy gave her a hug! That last boy then gave her another 2 hugs.

So she got 3 hugs from 3 older men.

I'm glad I picked her up tonight and not Dad!

Presidents Day at Orland Park Mall

I dropped Maddie off at Pau Pau's house on Monday morning as it was President's Day and I thought her Gymnastics class was cancelled (but turns out it wasn't!).  Pau Pau drove her to the Orland Park Mall and they had so much fun!

Maddie rode on a Thomas the Train engine Train! And she actually had on her Thomas shirt too! After the ride she got a lollipop from the lady running the ride. She also rode on the carousel and played on the indoor playground. She had so much fun!

Jumping off the Couch!

We had to take the covers off a few of the couch cushions to wash as we noticed they had stains on them. We had the big cushion on the floor and Joseph asked Maddie if she could jump off the couch on to the cushion. Of course she could, and of course she loved it!!!

Cute Warm February Pictures

Just some cute photos of Maddie with NO COAT ON in the middle of February! On our way to the parks!

Look at all of those people at the park!  People even set up hammocks on the trees across the street from us.

Enjoying the 70 degree mid-February weather at Humboldt Park

We just had to go outside and enjoy the 70 degree weather in MID-FEBRUARY so packed a lunch and headed to Humboldt Park!  Maddie loved the swings and spinning rides.

We then walked over to the pond to see the ducks!  A family with 2 children a little older than Maddie came by and each of the kids had long sticks that they used to splash the water. Of course Maddie had to have a stick so we gave her one and she just loved hitting the water with it and making it splash. She could have stayed there all day doing that!

2 Years and 3 Months Photo

Maddie came into our room after nap time and climbed into the red chair we used to take her monthly photos so I tried to get some pictures similar to those. Not entirely successful but still cute!

4 Wheelin'! (with video)

It was a gorgeous day out today so Joseph took Maddie outside to ride on her little 4 Wheeler (that someone had thrown out in a nearby alley!) Joseph cleaned it up and got a new battery and it was as good as new.

Singing Songs and Petting Scaredy Cat (with Videos)

After naptime, we went into the master bathroom to see Scaredy Cat taking a nap on the heated floors. Maddie laid down right next to him and began to sing songs and pet him. Adorable!

Nice day for the park (with Videos)

It was unseasonably warm this Saturday so Maddie and I went to the park that we call "the one with the big hill."  It was too muddy to go on the hill but Maddie had lots of fun on the playground.

Making Pizza!

For dinner tonight, Maddie help us make pizza!  We got Boboli crusts, sauce, cheese and pepperoni.

Maddie LOVED getting into her learning tower and helping us make the pizza. She did a great job with hardly any mess!
