Video: Baby Bump (baby boy Wagner) - Hiccups at 37 Weeks

Baby Boy was very active Saturday night and I was able to take a decent video. He has the hiccups which is why he is so active! I turned 37 weeks on Friday so I am 37 weeks and 1 day in this video.

Video: Bug on the Window

There was a bug on Maddie's window this morning! Here's a video of her trying to knock it away.

Video: Saturday Morning Dance Party

Joseph took this really cute video of Maddie dancing to Daft Punk Saturday morning. They went downstairs to learn some "dance moves" and Maddie really took to this song!  It's called "One More Time" and whenever she asks for something "one more time" we usually sing this song.

Tuesday 8/22:

Wednesday 8/23:

Maddie is holding hands with her "best friend" Mia!

Thursday 8/24:

Friday 8/25: Maddie celebrated Shabbat for the first time! Shabbat is when they gather all of the classrooms into 1 class and sing songs and dance about Shabbat! Then they go back into their rooms and make their own Challah to take home!

Maddie puts lots of raisins and chocolate chips in her Challah and she sprinkles lots of cinnamon on top.
It honestly tastes delicious!

Video: No Music For You Daddy!

Lately for some strange reason, Maddie has not enjoyed it when Joseph starts to sing or dance! So of course he likes to sing and dance and see how she reacts. For example, one of the shows she watches has 2 songs that always plays.  When the songs come on, she'll turn and look at Joseph to see if he dances!

After dinner one night (before dessert), Joseph started to dance to a song. Maddie turned around to see him dancing and immediately got upset and told him to stop dancing. I turned the music off but Joseph kept dancing and Maddie said "No music!" as in "There's no more music, stop dancing!"  Of course I had to get a video and it's quite hilarious.  Our favorite quote is "No music for you Daddy!"

After Joseph stopped dancing and we calmed her down, Maddie said "It's okay to dance Daddy" and I got a video of her calmed down and telling Joseph he could dance now.

Video: Shoo Fly!

A small fly flew into Maddie's room so Maddie tried to blow it away and sang "Shoo Fly Don't Bother Me" in hopes of getting it to go away!

Video: Using the Sit & Spin on her own

After dinner Monday night, Maddie started playing on the Sit & Spin and was able to spin around all on her own!  It looks like she's been able to for some time but this is the first time I've seen her do it so well. The video doesn't show her going around as well as she was earlier before I decided to pull my phone out and take a video.

First Day of Day Care 8/22 - Fall 2017!

Maddie's first day of full time Day Care was today!! Joseph and I both took her in so we could talk to her teachers and say goodbye.  Maddie walked the entire way, holding her ball the whole time.

Drop off was easy, she didn't even notice when we called out "bye!" and I had to walk over and give her a hug and a kiss.

Maddie and Daddy Fun Day!

Joseph took Maddie to Millennium Park on Saturday!  I was going to be busy all day at a bachelorette Party so Joseph planned a very fun day for the two of them!

The 3 of us hopped onto the Blue Line train and got off at the same stop.  They got a quick breakfast nearby and then headed downtown!  I'll let Joseph share some more photos, but these are the photos he shared with me.

They stopped by the Millennium Park Crown Fountain and Maddie splashed around and got wet! Then stopped by the Bean (Cloud Gate) and then got popsicles!!

36 Week Appointment & Baby Bump Photo - Baby Boy Wagner

I went to the doctors this morning for my 36 week checkup. I also got an ultrasound and took a Non-Stress Test before speaking with the doctor.

Baby Boy still looks very healthy in the ultrasound. He is still head down and was holding his feet in his hands!  He is measuring 6 pounds 12 ounces (82nd percentile) and they guess that if I have him at 39 weeks, he will be 8 pounds 4 oz!

We also passed our non-stress test (phew!) and spoke to the doctor.  We plan on getting induced after Sept 8th when I turn 39 weeks as they don't want me to go too long because of the gestational diabetes + insulin.

Here is a picture of me at 36 weeks.  Link here for a comparison of what I looked like at 36 weeks carrying Maddie.

Summer Camp

We signed Maddie up for a short 2 week summer camp at Smith Park for the last 2 weeks of summer before daycare starting up. Maddie had a blast on the second to last day of camp, she stayed at the park til about 1pm!

Joking around at dinner

Maddie was being super silly at dinner time and tried to take her shirt off.  Half the time when she tries, she gets the shirt over her head and makes a vest and then gets stuck!

Here are some cute pictures of her making a shirt vest while trying to get her shirt off.

Cats don't like water or have hands!

On Sunday night we walked Maddie upstairs so she could take a bath before bed.

She was taking her time so to get her to quicken her pace, Joseph said "Hurry! Scaredy Cat is going to take a bath too!" and Maddie says "No, cats don't like water!"

And then Joseph said "I put some books in the tub too, Scaredy is going to read them."
Maddie said "No, cats don't have hands!"

She is so smart and funny!

Ivan's 1st Birthday Party

On Saturday afternoon we headed over to our friend Julie & Paul's house for their son Ivan's first birthday party!

Maddie had lots of fun exploring and playing with Ivan's toys. She especially loved his toy car and it was the first thing she played in.

Our friend David got some really great photos of Maddie enjoying her cupcake with blue frosting! In fact she only ate the frosting and didn't touch the cake!

Playing with pasta and cups

At the doctor's office I took some cups with lids that I thought Maddie would enjoy playing with.  We had a birthday party to go to later on that day so we needed to keep her occupied so I brought the cups out along with some old pasta we are never going to eat. Voila!  New sensory toys!

She loved pouring the pasta into the cups and lids and we got a good 20 minutes of her playing by herself before she started to make a mess and pour the pasta onto the floor.
