Maddie made this for me at school for Mother's Day :)
We got this outdoor climber for Maddie's 3rd birthday! But since her birthday is in November, we never put it together
until now! Maddie climbed all the way to the top and wanted Joseph to take her picture.
At Costco! James's first time in a shopping cart! He later got jealous because Maddie was able to eat the snacks and he couldn't.
After dinner, James and Maddie were playing in the kitchen, and James started to crawl towards Maddie!!! I was able to get a couple of videos! He's crying and grunting, I'm not sure if it's because he's trying really hard to crawl, or if it's because he wants Maddie's toy, or both!
We are so glad he started to crawl before we went on vacation!
We've recently discovered that Maddie likes rock / alternative music! We went to the Pasta Bowl for lunch and she would dance and rock to all of the rock/alternative sounding music and would ask "what song is this?" I got a video of her dancing to a Green Day song.
After dinner, Maddie and James had the best time playing and laughing! James is on his tummy and you can see him pushing himself backwards! This is the furthest away he has gotten so far! He is almost getting ready to crawl! Maddie is enjoying making him laugh! In case you are wondering, she is eating a piece of bologna. This is also the very first time Maddie had bologna and she had a whole 2 slices!
On Sunday, I took Maddie over to Pump It Up in Lincoln Park for her classmates Mia and Saveer's joint 3rd birthday party!! Pump It Up was SO MUCH FUN! It had 2 big rooms filled with inflatables that even the parents could go on! Maddie had so much fun and loved it when I would go onto the inflatables with her!
Pictures and some cute videos are below. The video at the bottom is of her dancing with her classmates after lunch.
Maddie had spring break this week so we did a few fun things!
Joseph took her to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum on Wednesday. She had a lot of fun and got a pair of butterfly wings!
On Thursday I took her to my office with me for a little while. She loves coming to my office because she gets to pick 1 sweet and 1 salty snack from the vending machine. Our office secretary also gave her a bunch of toys, coloring books and crayon to play with. We got McDonald's happy meals for lunch and she got to watch her favorite shows on the ipad while I got some work done. Just before we were about to leave so she could come home and "rest" she found a box full of packing peanuts in the corner of my office and proceeded to make the biggest mess! She thought it was hilarious!
And on Saturday, a local church had a family fun festival at the elementary school a block or so away from the house so we decided to go check it out. They had SO MANY inflatable jumpers! And also free hot dogs and hot chocolate! Maddie had the BEST time, she went on almost all of the inflatable jumpers, the inflatable obstacle course, and also a really tall inflatable slide. She was kind of slow going up the slide so a line would form behind her, but she did it and was so proud of herself. Joseph stayed with her to play while I took James home to nap - we didn't realize it would be so much fun! We are so glad we went!
Here are some photos and a TON of videos of Maddie celebrating Easter! We were able to go to an Easter Egg Hunt at a nearby park. They had a TON of eggs! Then we also did an egg hunt in the basement and also the back yard. Maddie loved it and kept wanting to hunt for eggs!
Opening up presents from Grandpa and Nana:
Excited for the Egg Hunt at Dean Park to start!
So many eggs!
Excited to open up her eggs!
This is about as close as she got to the Easter Bunny
