Mother's Day 2018

We went over to see Pau Pau and Bak Bak on Mother's Day! We picked up lunch on the way over. We haven't seen Bak Bak in a very long time!  James was a little grumpy and did not really enjoy the visit so he looks a bit sad in these pictures.  We were able to get a picture of 4 generations of family!

We didn't realize Maddie had candy in her mouth during this picture.

Easter 2018! Opening presents & Easter Egg Hunts! (with tons of videos)

Here are some photos and a TON of videos of Maddie celebrating Easter! We were able to go to an Easter Egg Hunt at a nearby park. They had a TON of eggs! Then we also did an egg hunt in the basement and also the back yard.  Maddie loved it and kept wanting to hunt for eggs!

Opening up presents from Grandpa and Nana:

Excited for the Egg Hunt at Dean Park to start!

Happy Chinese New Year 2018!

Before James was born, my cousin Rachel gifted us this cute Chinese Boys outfit! It is a size 2 for a 2 year old. But guess what?  Our "little" 5 month old guy fits this outfit almost perfectly! The legs are a little long but it fits his torso just right!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year!

My cousin gave us this cute Chinese outfit for James before he was born, I didn't think he would fit into it until he was at least a year old as it was a child size (the smallest she could get) but I was wrong!  The top fit him just right in the tummy (the sleeves a little long), and the pants fit around his waist and the elastic was even a little tight! The legs were also long, but wow, he fit into it pretty well!

I decided the perfect time to wear it would be to celebrate Chinese New Year!! Maddie had pajama day at school so I wasn't able to dress her up today.

Visiting Santa 2017

While in Tulsa we took the kits to Utica Square to visit Santa!  He was in a little house all to himself and luckily there was no wait!  Maddie was SO excited to talk to Santa after we told her that she could tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas!  James fell asleep on the car ride there so Maddie had a nice little chat with Santa by herself.  Maddie told Santa she wanted a red car for Christmas. Then she changed it to a blue boat. We took some adorable photos of just Maddie with Santa, then put James in Santa's other arm. He was still half asleep but then got grumpy once he started to wake up! It made for some cute photos!

Tulsa Trip 2017

The entire family flew to Tulsa just after Thanksgiving! We spent about a week and a half and were able to also go to cousin Jordan & Trent's wedding on December 1st!

We had Thanksgiving dinner Friday early evening after we arrived.  We got to see lots of family during the trip and also visited the Tulsa Zoo!  Maddie also got to do some shopping and we also got to see Santa!

Maddie had lots of energy after our flight from Chicago landed. She was running back and forth in the terminal while waiting for Joseph to get our luggage.

I love this look of determination on her face!

This was her "Roar!" face!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

Happy Thanksgiving 2017!

We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving Day at home!  We played in the morning until Pau Pau and Uncle Jeff came over for Thanksgiving lunch. We took it easy as we were going to leave the next morning for a week and a half visit to Tulsa to visit family!

James loves his big sister Maddie!

So thankful for these two!

I love this picture! Taken before dinner. Maddie reading quietly on the couch while James naps.

Halloween 2018!

Here is 1 post with all of the Halloween things we did this month!

The week or so before Halloween we went across the street to Wicker Park as one of the well known children's performers in Chicago - Mr Dave - was having a concert. Then on Halloween evening I stayed at home and handed out candy with James.  Joseph took Maddie trick or treating! She had a blast and of course loved getting candy!!  But it was a very chilly night so they could not stay out too late.

On our way to Wicker Park to see Mr Dave! Maddie is dressed as a fairy and of course the kids had to have matching crocheted hats!

Dressed as a fairy and she wanted to wear her frog hat, so I guess she was a frog fairy!
