James 6 Month Doctor's Visit

We went in for James's 6 month well visit this morning!

Official stats:
Weight = 22 pounds 13 ounces (99th percentile)
Height = 28.5" (99th percentile!)
Head circumference = 45.00 cm (90th percentile)

He is a big proportioned baby, the doctor said the size of a 1 year old!

He did very well and didn't much at all. He was great for the doctor's exam and she didn't have any concerns. He's hitting his milestones on time, if not early!

He got another round of shots today, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other as well as an oral vaccine. The nurse said he really seemed to like the vaccine, she said it tastes like sugar water!  I turned away while Joseph held James for his 3 shots. I was waiting for a loud cry but all I heard was a little yelp and it was over! Joseph said he didn't cry until the last shot! What a champ!

James is starting to really love the bath! He doesn't like when the water is in his face, but enjoys being in the water!

Bath Time Fun

During bath time, we will run just a small trickle of cold water for Maddie to play with after we're done cleaning her. We give her a small plastic cup to play with, and she knows that if she wants to drink any water, she can only drink the cold water. She loves the cold water! She'll drink some, shiver and smile and say "Oh so cold!!"

Running Around After Bath Time

Lately after bath time, Maddie has taken to running around completely nekkid and wet! She will normally let us dry her and put a diaper on but she just loves running around without clothes on.  I now close the bathroom door before she gets out of the bath but it is still a struggle to get that diaper on.

Splish, Splash, I was Takin' a Bath

Maddie gets a bath every other night.  Even though she's bathed 50-75 times, she still gasps whenever we put her into the warm water or pour water over her head.  Once she's in and wet, she likes it.

She spends most of the time hitting the water with her arms (i.e. splashing) and she does this weird full body jerk backwards/leg kick thing that I assume is some reflex/instinct from when we were all frogs.
