The kids have been so great with each other! They love each other so much!!

Maddie has even been wanting to help feed James as well. Super cute video is below.

Maddie Playing in the Snow!

We got a ton of snow!! Maddie loved playing in it! She even got to try some hot chocolate for the first time to warm up after playing in the snow.

Video: James in the Jumper

James Tries Avocado!

We were sitting at dinner and Maddie was not eating her avocado, so we decided to let James try some!  It was spur of the moment and we were deciding if we would introduce solids to James early (Maddie didn't have solids until just before she turned 6 months) but he's such a big boy we figured why not? Also we thought maybe it would help him sleep more!

He had a bit of trouble figuring out how to actually eat the avocado but he did seem to enjoy the taste!

Maddie visits her new school!

Earlier today we took Maddie to visit her new school - St Mary's of the Angels in Bucktown.  It is a requirement for new students to do a "shadow day" but we really only spent about an hour there. It is a Catholic school in the Bucktown neighborhood. It's an actual school PreK through 8th grade!  We arrived just in time for snack time which was a good way to transition as Maddie was a bit scared when she walked in. Joseph and I were supposed to leave but the teacher said it was okay for us to stay, which was nice as we were able to observe the teacher as well. We're confident this will be a good transition for Maddie into a school setting!
