Video: Dancing at Josie's First Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to our friend Josie's first birthday party! Josie is Otto's little sister.  Wow what a great party! They had a clown who made balloon animals! Maddie asked for a butterfly and she loved it! The clown put a handle on it so it could fly in the air above her. Later there was a magic show and Maddie volunteered during one of the tricks! I didn't get any good photos, but I did get these 2 videos.  Joseph, Maddie and James were sitting on the steps in the hallway and Maddie started to dance to the music so I took videos. So cute!  I love the way Maddie is dancing!!

James is 4 months today! We went to the doctor for his 4 month check up and vaccines.

Stats:
Height: 26.25" tall - 90th percentile
Weight: 19 lbs 13 oz - 99th percentile!!

This Week at Day Care - 1/3/18 - 1/5/18

We signed Maddie up for 4 days of Winter Break camp and boy did she need it!

Maddie tries Orange Chicken!

No photos but this is a HUGE development for Maddie!  Up til today, Maddie has absolutely refused anything to do with chicken and certain meats. She will eat chicken nuggets but we tell her they are just "nuggets" and do not mention the C-word! 

Joseph was making orange chicken for dinner (Maddie had already eaten her dinner) but asked what Joseph was making and he told her orange chicken. She first tried the sauce and liked it, then ate a piece that was only breading, and liked it! Then she tried a very small piece of actual chicken and she liked it!!!

She has been very adventurous with her eating lately and has tried a bite of almost anything we give her... She will take 1 bite and say "I like that!" but then normally doesn't want to eat any more of it, but it is a step in the right direction!!
