Fun with the Garden Hose (Video)

I brought Maddie to Pau Pau's on Monday and when I went to pick her up she was in the backyard with Pau Pau and Yee Pau and having the best time with the garden hose. She of course was laughing much harder before I pulled out my phone to take a video.

Video: Kissing Crochet Bunny, Dada, and Mama

I crocheted a very large bunny for a friend's daughter's 1st birthday. I showed it to Maddie to see what she thought of it.  She really seemed to like it as she kept pointing out all his features and loved playing with his ears. She kept giving it kisses and hugs. I grabbed my phone a bit late but got the tail end of her giving the bunny kisses, and she was in such a lovey mood she wanted to give both Dada and Mama the sweetest kisses.

I think I'll have to make another bunny now for my friend!

Laughing with Mama (Video)

Maddie just loves to hand us her plastic utensils and especially loves when we grab them out of her hands and make a funny noise. Here's a cute video of her laughing and some blurry pictures of her smiley face.

Exploring More at LaSalle School Playground (with Video)

I took Maddie to the new playground I took her to a few weeks ago for a change of scenery. In the past she liked just one hill, but I showed her there were so many more hills she could climb and she loved climbing every single one of them!

Every time she would climb one she would say "whoa!", clap for herself, and throw her hands in her hair. If it was a small hill, she would walk down very slowly and carefully. On a few of the bigger hills (she would always say "big big!" when going up a bigger hill) she fell coming down so she decided to sit and slide down.

She also climbed in and out of these canvas/tarp sections quite a few times as well. She explored so much more this time, we spent at least 40 minutes there! She did not want to leave and would not even leave when I asked her if she wanted to get ice cream!!

In this video you can hear her say "whoa!" when she climbs up to the top. She also says "down" when she comes down, then "big" when she climbs up again, and she also claps for herself.

Kicking the Cat (with Videos)

One of the "side effects" of soccer and asking Maddie to kick things is she has decided to kick the cat (only Scaredy since he doesn't run away) and she thinks it is hilarious!! She has also become a lot rougher with Scaredy and will grab his fur, arms, legs, or tail. She also thinks it's hilarious to be so rough with him. Hopefully this phase passes soon!

And in this video below, Scaredy ran under the chair and Maddie was lying on her belly, tapping on the ground for him to come out. I didn't grab my phone in time so you see him coming out but she still taps for him. Of course she wanted to kick him when he came out.

Playing with Play Doh for the First Time!

We introduced Maddie to Play Doh!  We had to supervise her closely to make sure she didn't eat any. She seemed very interested by the texture and loved when Joseph would cut out shapes using cookie cutters.

Video: Walking In Heels

Pau Pau got Maddie a pair of Minnie Mouse shoes that have about a half inch heel. Maddie LOVES them and wants to wear them all the time.  Here's a cute video of her strutting her stuff around the house. She also says "Minnie" (she pronounces both Mickey and Minnie by saying "Mimmie") and she also says "Car".

Rare Blog Update: Sad and Upset Maddie (Video)

We don't take too many videos of Maddie sad, upset, or angry but this moment was just too funny. She was so upset at Joseph for sitting on the hall tree with her.

I love how she runs back onto the bench when he gets up!

Video: Peeling an Orange

Maddie saw some clementines on the counter in the kitchen and we gave her one to play with. She ran into the living room and when we went to check on her, she had sat down at her table and was peeling the clementine! Adorable!
