Maddie Gets a Balance Bike!

Joseph got Maddie a Balance Bike complete with a Hello Kitty helmet!  We haven't taken her outside just yet but she loved the bike and the helmet even more!

I got her half way through one verse and she loses interested in singing at the end of the video, but it's a cute video nonetheless!

Out of bed, Sleepyhead! (with Video)

Maddie did NOT want to wake up this morning!! Here are pictures & videos timestamped around 8:20am. Normally she is up much earlier than this and I hate waking her up, but we had to get ready to go to Pau Pau's house and also I needed to get to the office!

When she sleeps in and needs to wake up, we first open the door, then will open the window shades.  When that fails, we turn off the sound machine and that normally will wake her up.

Iza's 4th Birthday Party at the Blast Zone

On Saturday morning we drove out to the suburbs for our friend Iza's 4th birthday party at a place called The Blast Zone! It was a blast alright!  There was a big jumping area with trampolines and foam blocks. There was a huge tube area with slides. And there was a track of cars shaped like bath tubs to drive around in!  Maddie had a ton of fun!  We had pizza and cake and then went back out to play for a little bit before heading home.

Tantrum!

Here are some pictures of Maddie throwing a tantrum. I'm posting this so late I don't remember why she's throwing one. But you can see Joseph holding a piece of broccoli in the first pictures, so she likely didn't want to eat her dinner (and the time stamp is 5:32pm).

Simon's 6th Birthday at Lil Kickers (with Video)

On Sunday we had a busy and fun morning before we headed off to Simon's 6th Birthday party that afternoon! First we went to the dollar store and bought lots of fun things. Then we went to Target for some more shopping. Then we stopped off at Panda Express (they were all in the same strip mall) for some lunch.

We headed to Lil Kickers for Simon's 6th birthday party! They had an empty "field" for Maddie and the younger siblings to run around in. Maddie enjoyed running around and kicking the ball. She mostly loved climbing over the inflatable barriers and running into the other fields she wasn't supposed to be in!

We later got some pizza and then ate some rainbow cake!  We went back for some more soccer and then headed home. We didn't nap that day as we didn't get home until 4 but we had some down time watching some TV before dinner.

Happy Father's Day! I Love You! (Video)

I took these videos of Maddie wishing Joseph a Happy Father's Day as he was still in Tulsa.  And lately she's been saying "I Love You" and it's absolutely adorable and melts our hearts!

Stacking & Counting Blocks (with Video)

Here's a really cute video of Maddie stacking blocks and counting! She counts up to 10 and stumbles a bit from 11 on. She currently can count up to 30!

Visiting Mom at Work!

I took Maddie into the office with me today as Joseph was in Tulsa visiting family.  Maddie had a blast! She loved going to the vending machine and picking out two snacks (chips AND cookies). She sat by Ms Myrna and enjoyed her snack while Myrna told her all about her kitty cats.  She generally loved running between Myrna's desk and my office. You could see the literal trail of crumbs she left while running back and forth.

 

 

This Week at DayCare - 6/15

DayCare's Summer Camp officially started on Tuesday 6/13 but they didn't post anything but here is Thursday 6/15's update. They had a music concert and Maddie loved it! The teachers said she stood up and danced the clapped the entire time.

Eating Sushi at a Restaurant

Maddie and I ate at a sushi restaurant for dinner today! I had a doctor's appointment run very late so I rushed to daycare to pick her up in the nick of time!  We got sushi for dinner as I had nothing prepared, but luckily Maddie loves sushi (California rolls)!

June Weekend Fun (with video)

We had lots of fun this weekend! Here are some photos and videos.

On Friday we did a new activity - colorless fingerpainting! I purchased it on Amazon and it's a colorless paint but turns to color when applied to a special paper. Maddie loved it!

On Saturday our friend Ann stopped by for a quick visit on her way home to the airport. We had dinner and then went to get a donut for dessert!

And on Sunday it was incredibly hot outside so Joseph set up an impromptu water party in the backyard! Maddie had a ton of fun and took the best nap afterwards.
